Super rookie Park Joon-soon of the Doosan Bears in the second Japanese spring camp is drawing attention day after day by playing defense that is not like a 19-year-old. Not only coach Lee Seung-yeop but also Yoo Hee-kwan, who served as a special commentator, viewed the rookie's defense in an unusual way.

Including the first nomination, he was the first infielder in five years since Ahn Jae-seok, the first nomination in 2021.  

Park Joon-soon, dubbed the 2025 rookie draft fielder's biggest fish, played for Deoksu High School in 73 games with a batting average of 425 and 99 hits, five homers and an on-base percentage of .525 and a slugging percentage of .588 OPS of 1.113. He also showed off strong basic skills and broad range in defense, attracting multiple scouts. Thanks to this, Park signed a contract with Doosan for a down payment of 260 million won in October last year.

Park Jun-soon failed to conduct defensive training due to an elbow injury in the offseason. Fortunately, he recovered his condition with the start of the first spring camp in Sydney, Australia, prepared for the 2025 season with his seniors, succeeded in surviving and was also listed on the list of the second spring camp in Miyazaki, Japan. 

Park Joon-soon is currently competing fiercely with Oh Myung-jin and Yeo Dong-gun for the main second baseman position.
